Postpilot Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 28, 2026
Postpilot is an AI writing assistant for LinkedIn, X, and YouTube Studio. This Privacy Policy explains how Postpilot collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Postpilot Chrome extension.
Information we collect
Postpilot collects only the information needed to provide its writing-assistant service:
- Account information: your email address and account identifier when you sign in with Google through Supabase.
- Authentication information: session tokens stored locally in your browser so you can remain signed in.
- Content you choose to provide: text you type, paste, or explicitly select and pull into Postpilot for AI-assisted writing.
- Usage information: the supported platform, requested writing action, generation count, and time of use for enforcing the monthly usage allowance.
- Billing information: if paid subscriptions are enabled, subscription status and Stripe customer identifiers. Postpilot does not store full payment-card numbers.
How we use information
- To authenticate you and maintain your account session.
- To send the text you provide to our AI service and return generated writing suggestions.
- To apply free-tier usage limits and, if enabled, manage subscriptions.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Postpilot.
How Postpilot accesses websites
The extension operates only on LinkedIn, X, and YouTube Studio. It detects the active supported platform and accesses selected text only when you explicitly use the Pull selection feature. Postpilot does not collect your general browsing history.
Service providers
Postpilot uses the following providers to deliver the service:
- Google: Google sign-in and the Gemini AI service.
- Supabase: user authentication and database services.
- Google Cloud: hosting for the Postpilot API.
- Stripe: subscription billing, if billing is enabled.
We share information with these providers only as needed to operate Postpilot. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising, creditworthiness, or lending decisions.
Data retention and security
We retain account and usage records only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted connections, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices
You may sign out at any time from the extension. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your Postpilot account data by contacting us. Uninstalling the extension removes its local browser storage; it does not automatically delete server-side account or usage records.
Children's privacy
Postpilot is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date when material changes are made.
